The Dead Man Shoes trailer
A) Purpose
The Purpose of this film trailer is to advertise the film, it will create interest for the target audience. The main reason for this is to Entertain the local and niche audience and to attract them to watch this film also to promote the film.
B)Form
This Film trailer was made by Warp an independent company this makes the film a low budget project. This trailer is for the film Dead Man Shoes. This film is about and brother which is harmed and another brother has to help him. This film does not have any follow ups as the film will not make the money to do this.
C/D)Content and meaning
Mise En Scene
 Actors-In this trailer there are many aspects where I can talk about the content with in this film I would like to start with talking about the Actors used in this trailer are not very well known as they are not in any big block buster movies however they can act very well and we see this with this trailer. Warp haven't got the budget to get big named actors so Warp can not create star persona to attract the audience.In the dead man shoe trailer it denotes that this film is about violence and revenge. The first bit of the film trailer denotes that a man ha been captures and tortured this connotes that the brother of that person may want revenge for there behaviour towards his brother. The men denote that the film is about guys who are rough and act tough. The connotes that the people in the film may be from a rough area and very aggressive. The mask at the door may connote that the film is very scary. the denotation of the man with the axe may seem that that man is angry at someone and has a plan.
Narrative-The narrative with in this film very local as they filmed this in a urban area. This is non linear. Through out this trailer they show many disequilibrium which make the trailer tense and interesting. 
Audio-The audio from this film will be both diegetic and non diegetic this means some of the sound will come from the real world and some of the sound will be edited in. In the trailer it shows this at the start with the soundtrack over the talking and when they are walking in the field however the dialogue would be a diegetic sound as it is from the real would and the actors can hear it and another non diegetic is when they cut to the beat at the start when non diegetic is banging.
Camerawork-The camera work used in this trailer is really impressive as they use angles like low angles to show dominance but high angles to show weakness and subordinate. The second way they use camera is with shot types, one shot type is close up this type will emphasis the actors feelings or mood this is shown when the man in the mask scares the other guy, another shot type will be the long shot/wide shot this shot will show the location and set the scene. The last one is movement and in this trailer we see tilt as a movement, however I do think that they would of used hand held movement to capture the shot.
Editing-In this trailer there are many moments when they use editing to cut between the scenes to show something else in the film trailer. They use the fade to black a lot with in this trailer to cut between scenes and to enter a different location the editing does include title graphics. One way they edited well with in this trailer is at the start when they cut to the beat.
Identification-In this trailer it is hard to realize the protagonist from the antagonist this is what I think they should improve on but I don't know if that guy with the mask is a antagonist or protagonist.
Lighting-The lighting in some parts of this film is low key as they are in a dark room and then some are high as it is outside these different types of lighting can be a great effect on the films appearance and what the camera angle will be.
Costumes-The costumes they wear for this film represents there life and that it I local. These character wear this costume to connote that they are locals and rough.
Props-There are not many props however they do use an axe to connote danger. It denotes that I man really wants to kill someone and the ask covers his identity which could connote that it is an iconography.
Gestures-The gestures used in this film represents that they are from a rough background. These gestures connote what the actor is feeling as the man is scared when the man in the mask in the glass.
Editing
One bit off editing in this trailer is the text when it comes on screen to introduce the trailer I really like the transition they have done so it comes on screen and fades to black. The transition used in the film trailer are all fade to black or jump cuts.

The genre of this film is a thriller, drama and crime
The denotation of this film trailer is a man with an axe this connotes that the film will be violent and have a lot of crime in the film.
F)Audience
The Audience for this film is aimed at age 18 or above this will entertain the likes of a male audience as it has sex and violence with in the film and trailer. The audience for this film is a niche audience. I would say that the theme is appropriate for 18 and above as it could effect a passive audience. This film connotes that the audience needs to be mature and understand a complicated story line.

This is the Brick Mansions trailer it has a lot of action in it.

This films main purpose is to bring entertainment to your screens but the main reason is that they are trying to promote there product. As they use this trailer to show the audience what is coming in the cinemas and trying to sell tickets. This trailer will be advertised in cinemas and mainly on social media.

I am watching a big block buster movie called brick mansions it is a big action film with many thrilling moments. This films producer was the same as Taken and it was called EuroCorp this is a big company and will be aiming a for a mass audience as the film is a big budget film also to promote the film.
C/D)Content and meaning
In this film trailer it denotes that the area is abandoned and there has been a massive fight in the area. This connotes that the area is in a bad state. The film trailer denotes that there is a lot of action in the film this is because it denotes a man with a gun. The film trailer has people running around and fighting. This connotes that the film his high speed and very fast. The film trailer also denotes that it is really good and it has massive movie stars in the film and is big budget. This connotes that they have lots of money to use for this film.
Actors-In this film trailer they have some very big names what act in this film for example Paul Walker and David Belle these actors are very expensive and create star persona as they are very good actors and have big names in other films for example Paul Walker in Fast and Furious. The actors do some of there own stunts which do help the company save money but they do get stunt artist to perform for the star actors so they don't have to do it themselves.
Narrative-Narrative with in this film trailer is all non linear and has many disequilibrium as it does look like he is trying to find the killer of his father and going into a rough part of the estate and meets an man who wants to kill him but then they realize that they want the same ting and fight with each other so they become the protagonist.
Audio-The audio used for this film trailer will be non diegetic and diegetic as the soundtrack is played over the action this is done by editing. The diegetic sound would be the likes of the car engine and the actors voice. One more non diegetic I the gun fire will be probably edited in to emphasis the danger and the voice over when the actors are speaking over the radio in different locations.
Costumes-The costumes are very good in this trailer they denote that one man is in the army or police and they go into a rough neighbourhood and come in conflict with many thugs. The thug costumes really do connote there life and the location they live in. However Paul Walkers character is from the city and is a upper class and where a different costume.
Lighting-The lighting in this film is mainly high key however when it is night time they use low key. I see this in the trailer when one actor is hanging off a car and that is low key lighting but when thy are running and jumping and doing parkour they are using a high key which is natural light from the sun.
Location-The location of this film is in a big city and a run down estate called Brick Mansions. These locations are the reason why they can do all these stunts and all the costumes do go with the location.
Gestures-The gestures of these characters show where they are from and show how they where brought up as the thugs have a walk with a bounce this shows that they were brought up doing this. Props-The props used in this film are things like guns and many more weapons they also use a car as a prop in the chase scene.
Camerawork- There are many types of camerawork used with in this action film but in the trailer there are many different examples. They use many types of angles in one seen when they are fighting but when the thugs are introduced it is a low angle as it shows dominance and strength but when Paul Walkers character get captured it is a high angle to connote weakness and subordinate. They use loads of shot types for example they use a wide shot at the start to introduce the location. The producers of this film also use a close up shot to connote the actors mood and emphasis it. The movement in this film is very impressive as it is a action film. They use tracking when on the streets in the car to track and keep up with the car. The tilt movement is used when they are fighting each other on the roof. They also use shot reverse shot as a way of showing that the actors are in conversation.
Editing
One bit of editing in this trailer the jump cutting imbetwwen each bit of action in all of the trailer. I really like the way they have edited the text at the start so then it comes on screen.

The form of this film is like Brick mansions but with more drama as it is based in a rough estate and survival. The name of the film is District 13 this film producer is called Momentum Pictures. This is a small company as they do not make big name films.

This film is a big block buster film with many action scenes. The film denotes that the area used is a big area and has many scenes that are in big movie plots. This connotes that the film producers have lots of money to pay with this size of an area. The film denotes that it has rough areas in it witch connote that the film may have violence or even death. The film trailer denotes that the area are split up and the only way to get in is by doing crazy things this connotes that they have many stunt men to be able to perform these type of stunts for the film.
Actors-The actors used with in this film are not big named actors. This is because the film producers do not have the budget to afford the actors. This will make the actors try harder to get recognized by other companies. Having small name actors does not create star persona. The actors in this film probably do their own stunts as they wouldn't be able to afford the stunt actors.
Narrative- The narrative is non linear this introduces disequilibrium in the film. The film trailer has many action moments. The film is about people getting out of prison or an abandoned estate. The gangs want the antagonist but the antagonist have to get away.

This film trailer Is all about one young boy called Oliver Tate he falls in love with one girl and makes a huge mistake and wants to change the one thing he did by winning her back. The film producers are Weinstein company and Ben Stiller. This is not a big named film but did well for the story line.

This film is done so then the area denotes old fashioned this connotes that the people in the area did not have the money to live a luxury life. The film trailer denotes that he is madly in love with this one girl and that he cant do anything to stop his heart from breaking. This connotes that he wont do any work or live with out her. The film has a big set however I would say the film may not be a big budget film as it does not have many scenes with CGI is introduced.
Actors- The actors in this film re not big named however the main character does appear in many good films. These actors are not that big so it will not create star persona. The actors are very skilled and can act very well but the actors would not get as much money as they should as it isn't a big film.

Camerawork- In this film trailer I see many types of camerawork used for example I see that angles are used with in this film trailer to show that the boy is weak this means that the angle is a high angle but when the boy and girl are together it has a low angle to show confidence and strength. The one camerawork I would like to talk to you about is the movement they use this very well in this film as it happens when they are running with the flairs so the camera can get all the shot in and keep up with them this is called tracking. The shot types used in this film are close up and long shot. The close up shot for example happens when they kiss t emphasis the love and the long shot is to introduce a new location.
Editing
The editing in this trailer is the writing pop up and goes with the type writing sounds. This was done by adding text letter by letter. But had to match it with the sound. The other thing edited was the fade to black from one scene to transition to another scene.

This denotes as they have a bit of banter between them about there relationship. This connotes that it is funny however it seems that they flirt with each other. This may lead to being together in the future.

This film trailer shows a boxer that won is first fight but wants to try and beat more people. The film is all about rocky winning and pushing through social problems and mental problems the film is old and this is what I want my film trailer to look like.

This denotes that the film is a really old film as the camera quality isn't that good this connotes that even tho it was bad quality it was a great film as the storyline is great. The film denotes a boxer who wants to always succeed this connotes that the boxer will never give up with the support of his family and friends. The denotation in the film is of a man with a lot of determination this connotes the man is a role model. This effects the audience as they are inspired to maybe be that person or be that person in the future.
Actors
The actors in this film are massive and would of cost a lot. They are very well known and can create star persona as people might want to watch that film because of that one actor that is in it. In my film trailer I cannot get big characters but I can make it look old like this film trailer. The actors are very dramatic but they are young and this may make male gaze and ideal partner with in the audience.

One piece of editing they have done in this trailer is the moving title at the start introducing the film trailers name. They did this by adding a video transition so it will appear on the screen then slide off. This is called slide form the right transition.

This denotes that he will stand up and fight against the best. This connote that he will use action to solve his problem however his girl does not want him to fight.

The age rating for this film is a 12 as it does not have much violent language but it does have violent boxing but it will be fine for the age rating. This film was aimed at a mass audience and the gender that would probably watch this is mostly male as they like boxing.
